I have asked for help before when my sister was first diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer on October 16,2016 at the age of 26. She is 30 years old & still young . She has four beautiful children ages 13, 11, 9 & 7, all very young & still needing their mother. On June 7th at approximately 2:00 am my 13 year old nephew called me letting me know my sister had fallen in the bathroom, I had to leave work & by the time I arrived an ambulance was at our home, I met them at the ER & that night / morning we found out she had developed Neuropathy. At that time we weren’t sure how bad it would get. Until I stayed home that following weeknd and she couldn’t stand, she could barley walk unless I helped her physically holding on to her. She couldn’t lift herself off the couch, toilet or a chair. That’s when we made a hard decision for me to leave my job to stay home with her. & to our surprise Neuropathy will not fully go away, it can get worse or it could get better by 45% & we pray that it will get even better than that. Since then my mom struggled but found her a shower chair, toilet chair & she was very blessed to have found a lift chair. She has helped us a lot. But we need help with a lot more. Our bills are piling up & her children are wanting to do or go places we can’t afford to give or take them. We are struggling with a lot & All I’m asking is for a little help, even a small donation to help us make it through the next month. We are in the process of working with a caseworker, to help me personally become her caregiver & get paid , I’m praying , a little more than minimum wage. I’m not sure how it works. That’s if they approve everything. We have tried multiple time to get help for HUD & unfortunately got turned away each time. Her SSI got lowered by $200 & she has to pay for her own insurance. Please keep praying for her & her children. They are the strongest little humans I know & they help me with her A LOT! I want my sister to keep fighting & to get stronger. This time last year she was up & going & doing for her children & now she can’t, & it’s very stressful for all of us during this difficult time. Keep us in your thoughts & prayers & Thank you from our family for your donations & God Bless You <3
