Help Alfred Get Through Uni in 2019

Donation protected
I need your help - as much as I wish I was in a position to pay for Alfred's final couple of years at university, financially I'm in a lot of debt due to being sick the last couple of years - and I can't let Alfred down when he's literally just 2 years away from being a qualified pharmacist.

I met Alfred on my first trip to Sierra Leone when I was just 24 and he was 14. He was working on a farm because his mum was unable to afford the $40 to send him to school.

I remained in touch with Alfred over the last 10 years, and he has blown me away with his commitment to his education.

First he told me he was going to be a doctor and I kind of said, okay sure kiddo - not really believing him.

I wondered how could a little boy, working a farm, in what was, at that time, one of the poorest countries in the world, become a doctor?

But I promised to help him get there, so I began paying for his high school education.

Alfred then he told me he was moving his whole family to the capital city, Freetown because the schools were better there and he'd have more of a chance to become a doctor (I said okay sure, kiddo).

Then he actually did it.

He passed High School in flying colours and made it into Pharmacy at University - and then the fees went from $500 a year to $2500 a year, and I needed help to support him.

So that determined 14 year old boy, working on a farm in one of the poorest countries in the world, is now just 2 years away from being a qualified pharmacist.

To say I'm proud is an understatement. He has worked his absolute butt off, and deserves every ounce of his success.

AND this is the 2nd last year I'll be asking for help  :)

His fees for university this year are 18,000,000 Leones (approx $2900).

This year I'm raising money for his University fees ($2500) as well as the rent for a year on his house near University.

(I say house, but think of it more as a shed).

I've raised $1000 so far from friends on Facebook, so I have $1900 left that is needed to be raised!

All the funds given will go into my bank account, and I'll then transfer them via Western Union to Alfred in Sierra Leone.

I'll update this Go Fund Me page with the Western Union receipt once it's been transferred.

Thanks SO SO SO much in advance and thanks for helping Alfred get through his second final year of uni! We're almost there! :)
