Help Alaiza beat CANCER!

Donation protected
Hello Everyone,

I would like to thank you for taking your time opening this page. It already meant a lot for me and the family i am trying to raise this money for.

First, let me tell you about the young lady whom this page is dedicated to. Alaiza Lim, 18 year old, ovarian cancer patient since November 2016. Yes that is right. She was battling cancer as early as 16. The first time I had seen this child was when she had just won her first battle with cancer. She came to my work full of smiles like nothing happened. She just had this strong vibrant aura that i cannot explain. Like cancer did not even strike her. She’s a lovely, strong, and happy sister to her 2 siblings and mother.

So through whom did i exactly met Alaiza? Well no other than the second most hardworking mother and co-worker i know, Mrs. Janet Lim. A mother who would stop at nothing for the sake of her children. She works 3-4 jobs non stop just to support her family. She had to drop it all to be with her daughter.

Let me walk you through Alaiza’s battle with Cancer.
November 2016 is when Alaiza was Diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer. She did TAHBSO surgery with partial bowel cut then ileostomy was done.
January 2017  she started her chemo treatment every 2 weeks for 16 months.
June 2018 they did a reverse ileostomy, the same month when they found new growth of tumor cells on her bowel.
July 2018 she restarted her chemo treatments every week until January 2019
Bowel obstruction started and the Dr. said that the tumor is resistant to the chemotherapy drugs and caused infection. The bowel obstruction has perforated that surgery is impossible to be done as it can cause sepsis (life threatening condition caused by the body’s response to infection).

As per the Dr. The tumor and bowel obstruction are linked together which makes the chemo drugs no longer work. If they do start back the chemo Alaiza will still get sick.

Now, the doctor’s stuck at nothing. Just waiting. Which I trully hate with passion. Working at a health care field, sometimes we lose our drive to give the best possible outcome for our patients. Because we have seen it all. But no, there’s always more. There’s always a possibility at something. There MUST be something else.

Alaiza is a fighter and is still fighting because she wants to live. With my recent hospital visit this girl does not look like a cancer patient because as she had said it “i don’t feel sick”. So why lose hope when the patient hasn’t even given up yet?

So to everyone who just read this post. We are asking for your support to give Alaiza chance to live her life. The family wants to have a second opinion with the best cancer hospital outside Canada but they are financially incapable. Flight, hotel, consultation fee, medical tests, food, transportation.

Please help support this cause

Thank you in advance and bless your heart.

Help spread the word.
