Sri Lankan musician launch of first music album

My friend Aruna Nonis is a Sri Lankan musician living in Hikkaduwa, southern Sri Lanka. Aruna has been selected by a prominent Sri Lankan music production company to record his first album and launch his professional music career.
As a condition of the contract, the promoter needs Aruna to provide a $5,000 security deposit, which will be refunded when he finishes the contract in 12 months. This is an extraordinary amount of money to raise for any up and coming musician let alone one living in a developing country.
Aruna is well known and respected in his community through his music, work with not for profit organizations and the generosity of his time in helping others. With help from friends, family and his community he has raised $1,400 but can't raise the rest alone and needs another $3,600. Recent tragic events in Sri Lanka mean that many businesses in his community have lost income from tourism and are simply unable to help at this time.
I believe in helping people in a way that empowers them so that they can become self-reliant and then help others. It is devastating to me that I cannot help my friend to realize such a significant opportunity at this time. Knowing that he is running out of time to reach his goal, Aruna is desperate and losing hope of realizing the opportunity of a lifetime.
Please help my friend to achieve his dream and secure a contract in the Sri Lankan music industry. I know that Aruna will complete the contract as this is all he has ever wanted to do. He will obtain a refund on the deposit at the end of the 12 month period and pay it forward by helping others in his community as he has always done so.
