Joshua 1:9. Be strong and courageous; do not be frightened or dismayed, for the Lord, your God is with you wherever you go.
"There are moments in life when we receive the devastating news that we aren't quite sure how to process. Sometimes we are left with the unknown.                                                                      This Family's  Story:
We recently received devastating news of our close family friend, Nancy Lopez who is only 33 yrs of age and they are ready to share her story. Nancy is a loving, caring mother of 3 young boys, also a great daughter, sister, aunt and a longtime companion to Gabriel.                                                                                                              A few weeks ago, Nancy woke up not feeling very well. At first, she brushed it off as a cold or flu, going by her day to duties of a typical busy mom .Going to work, picking up her kids from school, homework, washing, cooking dinner, soccer ect.                                                          After a few days she became weaker and weaker but kept trying to continue strong and tending to her kids daily needs and tasks, consuming the fact she was sick. Until one day, her body had had enough. She continued being short of breathe, her struggle to walk became noticeable, and her eyes and skin began turning pale -yellow.                                                           When Gabriel returned home from work that evening, he found her lying on the floor, struggling to breathe.  He immediately picked her up and rushed her to the E.R., still against her will, as she didn't want to alarm and leave her kids behind.                                          After many tubes of blood and exams, including two bone marrow biopsies, Nancy was diagnosed with Acute Lymph Leukemia ( blood cancer) Due to the severity, it was suggested by the doctor she be transferred to a specialized cancer Center, City of Hope ( Duarte, CA)  This gut - wrenching news left her family saddened and confused.                                           As a mom, her heart broke not only for herself but now to tell her boys of this life-threating cancer and having to tell them she wasn't coming home anytime soon.         Nancy since has been living at City of Hope getting extensive treatments, and Chemo for her Leukemia. She has been experiencing pain, weakness and side effects.                    She has a hard time sleeping, worried about her 3 kids well being. Nancy's strength, courage, faith and prayers keep her fighting daily as she has a long road to recovery.                                                    This Go Fund Me is to put Nancy's mind at ease, by knowing her kids will continue to have a roof over their head, food, traveling expenses to and from hospital, sitter, and other expenses that arise during this difficult time. May God continue to give this family strength and traveling mercies to and from hospital.    Nancy and family would like to Thank You in advance for all your prayers and healing, and any contributions you can make to her family.  They also ask to please share their story.                                           Note: Ethan her youngest, will be 6 yrs on Feb 8th, he wanted to go to Disneyland for his birthday, now all he wants is his mom home.                                      Thank You again, from Nancy and Gabriel
