Help us take care of the family of one of our Brothers in Blue.
Deputy Burraston has been in a losing battle with Pancreatic Cancer for the past year. He has worked up until a few weeks ago even while fighting the battle. He has been given a terrible prognosis that he doesn’t have much time left. We are asking for help for his family for final expenses as well as to pay off medical bills from his cancer treatments and other expenses.
Deputy Burraston is a “Gentle Giant” revered among his co-workers. He is also an intimidating presence if you were a “bad guy”. Deputy Burraston is one of the most genuine and authentic people that I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. He is a devote family man and worked hard to provide for them. On several occasions he would cover shifts of co-workers so they could spend time with their families due to low staffing levels in our agency. He went about his work with little fanfare however everyone that met and has spent time with him was uplifted and feeling better. He was the epitome of humility and compassion. Deputy Burraston always greets everyone with a smile that you can’t forget. Even during his cancer treatments he was still coming to work and bringing his smile with him every day. During his cancer treatments he always had his same positive attitude and smile even when he was feeling at his worst.
