HAITI MISSION TRIP

Hola family and friends, we are writing this letter to let you know that Warren and I have decided to go on a short-term mission trip to Haiti this fall. The name of the organization we will be going with is FPSM (Foundation Pierre Smith Mondelus). FPSM is a non-profit organization that supports efforts aimed at bringing relief, development and reconciliation to residents of villages in Northern Haiti. We will be traveling to Milot, Haiti from November 3 to November 8 of 2016 where our group will be spending time sharing God’s word, and helping the ministry team in Haiti with projects such as the literacy program and delivery of food and clothing. You may wonder why we have decided to travel at this time, and the answer is simple. We feel that we have been given much and that God desires for us to use the gifts and abilities He has given to impact on those less fortunate than us. Our goal is to build lasting friendships, and also to share the love of Jesus.
Haiti is the poorest county in the Western Hemisphere and is an area where voodoo is still actively practiced. Our help and prayers are desperately needed by this country.
We are asking for a support team of people who will be willing to pray for our team, give toward this project, or both. We need prayer for wisdom as we seek to meet people’s needs in another culture. We also need prayer for safety as we travel. We are also seeking financial assistance; as we hope to raise at least a portion of the $2000 needed to cover our expenses.
