Hi guys. I am Aizel from the Philippines and currently living in Sweden.
From the time we were born, my twin sister, Aiza Hamoy aged 30, was believed to have had a hole in her heart; however, due to financial insufficiency at the time, she was not presented to any medical check-up and believed that there wasn’t truly any problem since she never felt any complication regarding the said condition; not until last year - 2016. Last October 2016, she suddenly had difficulty in breathing and was rushed to the Emergency Room in one of the hospitals in Cebu City,Philippines .She was advised to undergo Electrocardiography (ECG) and Two-dimensional Echocardiography (2d Echo) to diagnose the problem and she was found out to have Ventricular Septal Defect (VSD) - a hole in the wall separating the two lower chambers of the heart. There are no other procedures nor any medicine that would cure this condition aside from a major operation. The doctor advised that she undergo operation as soon as possible while there aren’t any severe complications yet.
She had approached a charity from the hospital that could somehow help the finances for the operation; however, they could only assist up to half of the total estimated expenses of $30,000 (250,000kr )exclusive of maintenance after the operation e.g. medicine, check-up, blood transfusion, etc. Her application for the said charity will be submitted for approval upon raising at least $7,500 ( 62,500kr) She can undergo operation once she can raise the needed $15,000 (125,000kr).
We are illegitimate children and have been supporting each other with help from some of our relatives. We have no other family member who can support us in this situation because of the huge amount needed. I am knocking on your kind hearts so that I can help my sister live a comfortable and healthy life; free from anxiety of possible attacks and complications.
