What happened
:
This past weekend, our friend Jayce drove down to the Pismo Beach Sand Dunes to ride ATVs.

While taking  a sharp turn, Jayce lost control and went down, the ATV landing on him and crushing him.  These things weigh anywhere from 400-700lbs...

The ATV crushed his leg and cut off an artery that was supplying blood flow to his leg which went completely numb.

What we know:
Jayce broke his leg, suffered a spinal injury, dislocated his hip, fractured both sides of ribs, bruised a kidney, and had internal bleeding.

He had to be intubated because he wasn't able to breathe on his own.

Please let that sink in...

So far, Jayce has had one surgery to add screws to his hips and have them realigned.  He is still in the ICU and is in good spirits, all things considered.

What's next:
We just found out that Jayce may have to undergo more surgeries to correct the other injuries.

Between recuperation in the hospital/at home and the inevitable physical therapy, Jayce will have a long road to recovery.

That's why he has us, his friends...

What can YOU do:
As we all know, Jayce is a proud man.  He is not the kind of person to ask for help.  So, we are going behind his back for this!

Please donate some money to help pay for his hospital bills and his rehab.

Give a little.  Give a lot.  Anything will help.

Jayce is strong.  That said, dealing with something physically crippling and then working through the financial burden of medical bills, is not something that he should have to go through.

Please give in any way you can.  Even simply sharing this link around your offices and on social media can help.

If you'd like to send flowers, a card, or go visit, he is staying here:
Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center, 2nd Floor, Surgery Room #253

Finally, from Jayce, himself (9/22):
I've recovered from the main surgery and may have two more to go. But all signs indicate that my body is responding to recovery quickly. I am completely grateful for God and his blessings. Second, I cannot thank enough of my family and friends who reached out wishing me well on my recovery. Rehab is gonna be one heck of a hurdle to overcome, but I'm hoping to get through it quick.
