Healing for Erin

After nearly a month of doctor visits and diagnostic tests we were given the news that Erin has cervical cancer - stage 4 because the cancer had already spread to the pelvic bone.  It all began with what we thought was just hip/pelvic pain that wasn’t improving over several weeks. After an X-ray and MRI, a tumor was discovered on the pelvic bone. A bone biopsy was performed shortly after and it was determined to be cancerous.  Another biopsy and exam indicated that the cancer originated in the cervix and was a rare form of cervical cancer that is not detected by a Pap smear. 

This cancer is very aggressive, so in turn the treatment must be as well. Chemo and radiation therapy will begin on July 1 and will be given together to hopefully improve the effectiveness of treatment. Erin will have radiation 5 days a week for 6-7 weeks.

We are asking for help to alleviate the financial burden that comes with this fight. Anything you can offer, whether it be prayer or financial assistance is greatly appreciated.
