Heading to Europe to See Castles

Dear friends,
During the months of June and July, 2017, I will be in a tiny village on the island Crete in Greece where I have been invited to do a painting residency. There I will be drawing and painting surrounded by the ruins of a village centuries old, Agios Loanis.
Recently, I have been scratching the surface of a series which I hope to unfold further in Crete: a study of power, domination, moral authority and the wear coupled with the attention to preservation of medieval architecture and eurocentric power-structures. (been drawin' castles).
From Crete and Athens, I hope to travel onward into Italy and France and maybe even England to see with mine own eyes the castles I've been imagining and drawing from google, but a voyage so whimsical and lodged in the backwaters of history is difficult to fund, so I am looking to see if anyone is interested in participating.
The money I am stretching out my virtual hands for will help me with trains and planes and automobiles, entrance fee's to museums and castles, lodging in the towns lorded over by the castles, drawing supplies and postal services.
!!!!!Each person who donates will be mailed a drawing from a castle visited + some writing about my experience there. !!!!! This part will be fun for all of us!!! ~~~!!!!!!
This ~gofundme~ is for a personal project, and it is difficult to express how you, my folks around me, will bennefit from it specifically as it is suggested I do in the bar on the side of this page. I am, quite simply, following a hunch.
