The Western Connecticut State University Men’s Rugby team was founded in 1988 and exists today driven by core values like Teamwork, Respect, Enjoyment, Discipline and Sportsmanship. These core values define the game and are what make the environment and culture special.
As a Club Sport at WCSU we are funded in part by the University and the balance through the efforts of the individual team members. The team had an exciting and competitive fall season and is already brushing off the snow and strapping up their rugby boots in preparation for the spring. One highlight for the upcoming season is the “Beast of the East” tournament in April that the team will compete in and takes place in Rhode Island. In order to make this happen, the team needs to raise $5K to help offset the travel costs and spring budget.
We are asking the community for their support and generosity. Our goal is to raise enough money to offset this trip and help the growth and future success of our program. Your donation serves as a great way to give back to your community and is tax-deductible. We graciously accept any help you can offer, and we thank you in advance for your support. Donors will be hand delivered with a letter of thanks with all of the team’s signatures on it for their generosity. A Federal Tax ID number is available upon request.
