Haylie is a NKEC student and a big part of the NSISP program, helping out International students.
Haylie has the AML type of leukemia and has started chemo. After a 28 day cycle, they should be able to tell if it is the type of leukemia that will need a bone marrow transplant or if the chemo treatments will be enough. The treatments could possible take up to six months.
Her mom, Barb, will need to take time off from her 3 jobs for an unforeseen time. The money raised will go directly to Barb and Haylie for lost time at work, transportation and medical expenses.
