Under the most devastating and unexpected circumstances Amelia was able to still be in her power and birth in a way that spoke to her greatness and inner wisdom. We were surrounded with the support and care of Amelia’s mom, and ROOTT doulas Monique McCrystal, Christine Santos and Jessica Roach.
The depth of emotions being experienced during this time defies explanation. The sorrow is unmatched, as is the deep seeded strength and love.
We are choosing to take some time away to process, grieve, and honor Thelonious as we begin our healing journey.
At this time, the best way you can support us is in creating this space. Please consider donating to The Hayes Family bereavement fund which will support travel costs including food, transportation, and lodging, as well as celebration of life services for Thelonious which will occur at a date to later be determined and shared.
