FAITH Neighborhood Center is a non-profit food, clothing, and social service center dedicated to the helping those in need in South Lake County Florida. To better serve our clients we have built a new facility with the goal of increasing the amount of food our clients recieve from 4 days a month to 8 days amonth. We also provide vouchers for medical/dental needs and Christmas dinners and gifts.
We need to stock our shelves so we can provide the food that is needed. Through Second Harvest Food Bank we have tremendous buying power. Ten dollars feeds a family of four, three meals a day for four days. We purchase approximately 20,000 pounds of food each month. During school breaks the need increases due to children being home from school. They do not recieve school breakfast or lunch during this time and this increases the number of families that come in seeking help with food.
