Have A ❤️ Heart for Lynn

For months Lynn hasn’t felt well. She has been extremely tired and feeling ill
a lot of the time. Two weeks ago she was diagnosed with pneumonia and also with pleural effusion which is extra fluid on the lungs. After a week of antibiotics Lynn still wasn’t feeling well plus her ankles and her legs were starting to swell so she drove herself to the ER the day after Christmas.
Much to everyone’s shock and surprise Lynn was diagnosed with a serious heart issue which is going to require surgery. She has a heart of gold: full of kindness and compassion for others but it’s not working properly for her.
***Update! Effective 1-21 the company rescinded their offer to continue paying her insurance AND terminated Lynn’s employment in an EMAIL!
***Lynn works for a small company and has health insurance. It won’t cover 100% of the costs and since being discharged from the hospital after a week her first round of new meds alone was $325.00. If she were able to work that wouldn’t be an issue however Lynn has been placed on an unpaid medical leave. That means that her basic bills such as housing and car plus car insurance will need to be paid along with any medical costs not covered by insurance once she goes through the small amount of savings she has.( Not to mention the hospital bills not covered!). She’ll probably be off work anywhere from 8 to 12 weeks with this open heart surgery. The good news is that the surgery will make a significant difference in her health and she should be able to live an even better life afterwards.
We don’t want her to have to worry about finances on top of everything else. She already takes care of two elderly parents and that’s enough stress for anybody. Add to that the concerns about her surgery and her finances and that could break her in more ways than one. We are just asking that you look deep into your hearts (at this difficult time of year financially for others)and help her out if you can. She doesn’t have any other source of income and the family is not in a position to assist.
Lynn is a wonderful person; an amazing daughter, a loving sister and a great friend. We’d really like to help her through this and we’re hoping you will too. Any amount helps from five dollars to whatever you’re able to give and you can give more than one time. From the bottom of our hearts we thank you for having a heart ❤️ for our friend Lynn.
