Hi, my name is Rebecca, I'm 19 years old and I'm so excited to be starting this new journey! I have been accepted into a discipleship program called YWAM( Youth With A Mission) Harvest DTS ( Discipleship Training School) in Turner Valley, Alberta, Canada. This program is split into two parts: Discipleship Training School where I learn how to deepen my relationship with Christ as well as learn how to share the good news to others and the second part is an Outreach program where I'll be travelling to Thailand and Myanmar and sharing the good news to a group of people known as the Shan people.
The training part of this program is three months long. The topics that I'll be learning about is focused on my relationship with God and how to evangelize. As part of the training for evangelizing we will be going to nearby cities/towns such as Okotoks, Black Diamond and Calgary where will be out on the streets sharing the word and reaching out to those in need. After these three months are over, we will be heading to Thailand for one month and then to Myanmar for another month proclaiming to the Shan people and spreading the word of God and showing God's love.
I am so excited and grateful to have been given this opportunity to both grow and share the good news of Jesus! It will be challenging both spiritually, emotionally and physically. I ask that you pray for me; I need God to strengthen, protect and guide me through this time. Please also pray that he would supply all our needs. I have a long way to go to have enough funds! God has continually encouraged me to keep going forward and to trust Him. If He puts it in your heart, please help me to get there. I would be very grateful and ask that God would richly bless each giver and that it would bear fruit for eternity.
Budget for this trip:
The total budget is $8000.
Lecture Phase costs= $4400
Outreach Phase costs= $3500
