Harvard Undergraduate Robotics Club

$1,918 of $10,000 goal

In just two years, the Harvard Undergraduate Robotics Club (HURC) has quadrupled from 25 to now over 100 members. Our growth comes from our success at competitions across the country and from a surge of interest in the undergraduate community. As our team has developed, we have expanded our projects into eight independent robots that will compete at university competitions at the end of the year. These robots come in all shapes and sizes to complete a variety of different tasks—we’re creating an autonomous fixed-wing aircraft to survey the ground with computer vision, a team of robots that can autonomously play soccer, a rover that will explore Martian surfaces, and more!

However, robots are expensive. Not including travel costs to competition, each project requires an average of $2,000 for all of its parts. In order to be successful, we still need over $10,000 to compete in eight university-level competitions.

This is where you come in. With your help, we can build robots that have the potential to change the world. Your donations will enable us to acquire new skills found only through working with a team of motivated students to accomplish something we all thought was impossible—to build a robot that is greater than the sum of its parts.

Any amount of support—from a cent to over a thousand dollars—matters. To show our appreciation, we will feature you on the list of sponsors on our website (harvardrobotics.com/donate)!

If you wish to enter a company partnership with our club (which includes holding company booths at our events, visits to our lab, viewing our resume book, and gaining publicity in our newsletter) or have any inquiries, please contact us at hurcofficial@gmail.com.

Thank you for reading this message, and we hope you consider supporting our team in creating eight spectacular, innovative robots!
