Have you ever met someone and you just automatically knew they were supposed to be a part of your life?
Meet the Toop Family, Kaiya and Adam and their two amazing sons Dylan and Harper. Rafting, camping and love for the outdoors is just a few hobbies this amazing family loves to enjoy. They are extremely generous and have gone above and beyond for friends in need. But on September 3 of 2018 Kaiya was at home hanging with little Harper and now they are in need of a little help and support! While standing in the kitchen three-year-old little Harper approached his mom reaching for his mouth, "I can't get them out of my mouth" he said “you can't get what out of your mouth?" She said. It was during this time that she discovered Harper had swallowed 10 little magnets. Immediately mama Toop reacted and rushed Harper to the ER. Fast forwarding to multiple x-rays and a couple hours waiting for answers the doctors finally reached a verdict that they just didn't have the means to help Harper. The only option was a flight for life to Denver. After a flight that seemed to have taken a lifetime, many hours of restless waiting, tests and many more x-rays, fluids and an endoscopic procedure Harper was finally able to safely pass the magnets. The situation could have been so much worse, however the medical expenses still added up quick and are now taking its toll. With the flight for life costing close to $30,000 and medical expenses from the Children's Hospital in Denver accumulating to $20,000 the Toop Family is facing a difficult situation. I know as a community we are strong and we care for our children like no other community. We can come together and help this loving and caring family recover from a very unexpected situation with donations and emotional support!!
