We need our village right now.
On August 27th, 2017 our home was flooded by Hurricane Harvey. We were hit hard as the baypu swelled with water. I never thought id see a day when streets turned to lakes but just like that, it happened. Wading in high water to get to safety, 2 boat rides, 1 firetruck transport, 2 ambulance transports and 3 hospitals later we are safe but shaken. We are stripped but holding on to be strong.
This storm has damaged all of our earthly possessions and the mold from water damaged items would cause Harper (my 23 month old special needs daughter) harn. We need help weaving our life back together thread by thread.
This is so humbling to be on the receiving end and have to ask for help. We really need it. We have each other and are safe. We are grateful no doubt but as a mom responsible for my special needs princess that fights so hard each day to remain here on earth with me each day, I am callimg upon my village to help us see the rainbow after the storm.
There is so much to figure out but your support will aid that process.
Funds Raised help us purchase much needed items such as clothing, needed medicines for Harper, temporary accommodation and just help us simply stay afloat while this devastation is sorted out.
I literally have tears in my eyes as I try to convey just how it feels to look back and know it is lost and want nothing more than to restore what I can for the health and happiness of my precious daughter Harper.
