Harper Jo Popham

Hello World! My name is Harper Josephine Popham. I just couldn’t wait to start my life journey with Daddy Brandon and Mommy Tara, and  so I came into this big bright world earlier than planned. I didn’t realize that being born at only 24 weeks would be such a big deal but at only 1 pound 7 oz it sure has been a challenge for me. Just look at my picture, Mommy’s ring fits me like a bracelet.
I am facing many hurdles, and I am fighting hard to overcome them all. But I have to be monitored around the clock, and by the way, it is really hard to get any rest when I am being poked and prodded all the time! So, it has been stressful for me and therefore Mommy and Daddy too.
I know they have a beautiful home they want to take me back to, but it looks like it will be another 16 weeks before I can join the family at our house! Mommy and Daddy have been with me every day since I was born, and I really am glad they are with me, because I need them close by. The Drs and Staff at UCH say that it is an important part of my development to have them nearby too.
 Although they have insurance that is covering most of my care, since they have to spend so much time near me, this means they are missing work and that is going to be a financial hardship on them as time goes on.
I am really grateful for all the thoughts, prayers, gifts and flowers but would so appreciate any amount of funds you can spare so to ease budgetary concerns for them.
This way we can all stay focused on making sure I keep growing strong and healthy.
