First of all, thank you for all of the love and support that has already been pouring over Kati, Dave, and their two sweet girls during this difficult time.

While Amelia Marie was the baby that made Kati and Dave parents, Annabelle Rose is the baby that saved Kati's life.

On the morning of Wednesday, January 4th, 2017 at 40 weeks and 2 days pregnant Kati  had a major seizure while taking a shower. Thankfully, her husband, Dave was home to rescue her. First responders arrived right away and she was rushed to the hospital for several tests, including a CT scan. The baby was OK but the CT scan showed a very large tumor (5cm x 5cm x 7cm) in the right frontal lobe of Kati's brain. In that moment, doctors had very little details about the tumor but it was certain that a normal delivery would be extremely unsafe for mom and baby. 

Annabelle Rose was delivered a few hours later at 3:28 pm via an emergency c-section. She was 8 lbs 1 ounce, 20 inches long. She is perfect - beautiful and sweet just like her sister.

Kati is now at home recovering from her c-section as her and her family prepare for the next battle. On Monday, January 16th, Kati will go in for brain surgery to remove the tumor and then begin another recovery process. It is unsure what her recovery will entail. Kati and Dave are a great team and they have always been able to conquer whatever comes their way, this time will be no different.
