Harmie Griffie Funeral Expenses

Harmie Griffie lived an astounding, wonderful, and long life. He was a very loving and caring husband, father, uncle, grandfather, and friend. Harmie - or Papaw, as we like to call him - served in the United States Army. When he wasn't working in the mines, he enjoyed spending his time with his family. Alongside his family, his favorite things included calling square dances, fishing, auctioneering, and (of course) watching the University of Kentucky Wildcats Men's Basketball team.
Unfortunatley, on January 9th, Papaw went home to be with the Lord after a long struggle with septic shock from a ruptured bowel, among other illnesses. For many years, Papaw fought Alzheimer's Disease and Dementia, but it never kept him from enjoying himself. Although he was 81 years old, it still came as a shock.
However, Papaw had no life insurance, so the entire cost of the funeral will go upon his wife, Sadie Griffie - better known as Mammaw. We are starting this Go Fund Me account to help her with the burden of these expenses, so any and all donations are greatly appreciated.
The viewing for Harmie Griffie will be at the Letcher Funeral Home in Whitesburg, Kentucky on Thursday, January the 12th, from 6:00 to 9:00 pm. The funeral will be on Friday, January the 13th, beginning at 12:00 pm.
