Harlow's vet bills

Donation protected
My sweet six-month-old kitten Harlow has pulled her desexing incision open and developed an infection. I've only had her for four weeks, but already she's one of the most important parts of my life and I love her with all my heart - I can't imagine being without her.

The timing of these vet costs are unfortunate, however, as money is very tight right now (I'm a disabled recent graduate, and new kitten costs depleted my savings), so I would appreciate whatever help anyone can give my darling girl.

This isn't the first bad luck Harlow has had in her life so far. She was born feral, caught by a Trap Neuter Release program, and found to be carrying four kittens - a pregnancy sure to be fatal. Because she's so friendly, rather than being released she was put up for adoption, but her first family didn't work out. The timeline is unclear, due to her passing through so many hands, but either during her time with that family or shortly after her desexing incision opened and became infected - so she's been through this exact problem already. By the time I adopted Harlow she'd been healing well, and I'd seen no issues with her scar.

So of course I was terrified when, during pre-bed playtime last night, I saw something red and dark grey-purple amongst the orange fur of her belly. I rushed her to the vet first thing this morning, and while the news wasn't the worst, it still isn't good. My poor girl is in pain - to the point the vet could feel in her abdomen that Harlow has been avoiding going to the toilet due to the pain of using her stomach muscles - and if the incision can't heal itself within a week she'll need further surgery. (I'm hopeful it will heal, to save her the added distress, but given its had over seven weeks to heal so far it seems a little unlikely.)

Harlow is an incredibly sweet and loving kitten, and even with the pain she's in and how miserable she is right now, she's still being her affectionate self, napping next to me and giving me kisses. I just want her better as soon as possible, and to be able to afford whatever treatment she needs.
