HAR Summer of Seniors Campaign

Join Hope Animal Rescue in our mission of saving and finding homes for 15 senior dogs this summer!
Summer can be a tough time for shelter pets across North Carolina. Many people surrender their dogs at shelters when they go on vacation, or decide they simply do not want their dogs any more. Some of the types of dogs most impacted are seniors (ages 8+). What a summer bummer! That's why we are ramping up our efforts to pull senior dogs from the shelters (in addition to our normal intake of dogs), place them in foster homes, and find them their forever homes!
We believe that all dogs deserve a chance at a happy life, which is why we care so much about seniors! However, caring for these dogs (who have often been neglected for years), can be quite expensive. Between lab work, dental cleanings, medications, and preventatives, these dogs can cost the rescue anywhere from $600-$1,000, so our $125 adoption fee only helps to cover a fraction of that.
We are now calling on our awesome family of HAR supporters to help save these pups! Stay tuned for stories on featured senior dogs, upcoming adoption events, reasons to adopt senior pets, as well as updates on our fundraising goal.
