Student home loss due to fire

Donnea Brown, a junior a Hamady High School, and his family lost their home and everything inside in October of this year. Donnea, his mom Charisse and 3-year-old sister are currently living in a hotel. Thankfully everyone is safe.
On October 28th, firefighters were called to the home of the Brown family for a structure fire. Several departments received the call that Sunday afternoon to the home on Lawndale Avenue.
Donnea Brown is a fantastic student who loves school and football. Donnea plays Linebacker and running back for the Hamady Hawks varsity team. Donnea Brown’s resiliency, through his loss of everything, he continued to give it his all on the football field. His determination helped take the Hamady Hawks football team to its first District Championship in school history.
The Westwood Heights Schools is asking the community for your help with donations for the Brown family with their day to day needs.
