Hap Ingram Brain Tumor Recovery

Donation protected
On Saturday the 7th of January 2017, 13 year old Hap Riley Ingram was taken to ER at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center as she had been experiencing extensive headaches and vomiting every morning. The attending physician immediately suggested an MRI which revealed that Hap had a brain tumor on the cerebral lobe the size of a lemon and she was admitted to PICU at the hospital.

On Wednesday January 11th Hap was operated on for over thirteen hours and the neurosurgeons were able to remove over 90% of the tumor.

Hap is now in recovery at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center and is receiving physical and occupational therapy daily to regain all of her motor skills and eye recognition. She continues to struggle with double vision that was first affected by the tumor. We are hoping that what's left of Hap's tumor will recede on its own, however in three months we will know through a follow up MRI whether the tumor is growing and if Hap will need chemotherapy and /or radiation treatments.

Hap has a single mother, Jill McGrath, who had breast cancer just a year ago and is thankfully now in remission.

We are asking for financial assistance for costs that are already astronomical as Haps mom is unable to return to work. Lifes basics have become a serious concern and we have no idea what is going to be covered by insurance as far as medical bills, specialists and PT going forward.

We'd like to thank everyone for the outpouring of support, prayers and kindness that the family has received . We are continuing to push forward to provide a comfortable, stable and happy environment for Hap during her healing process and it's important that Hap be allowed to heal her body and spirit without the additional burden of financial needs that a child should never know. We appreciate any help that you are able to extend to our little Hap during this time, please continue to keep her in your prayers...
