Hello everyone and thank you so much for taking the time to check out this page. We have decided to start a GoFundMe page for our very good friends (and Illinois State University attendants) and their amazing children. We will try to be as detailed as possible to provide information, but also want to respect their privacy.
As most of you know, Brendan and Kate Hanrahan have two of the most loving and giving hearts out there. They would do anything for anyone of us- and have probably helped us through some hard times, and definitely been part of alot of good times. I'm sure most of us have some amazing stories about these two. Kate and Brendan also have two adorable children, age 3 years and 7 months.

Most of us also know that Brendan was born with a heart that needed a little more attention than most. On October 10th, he was scheduled for a routine open heart surgery to replace his aortic valve. Unfortunately, he has experienced many complications over the last week and will not be able to go home this week as originally planned.
Kate will be taking more time off of work then initially expected to be with Brendan during this new and difficult journey. We are looking to raise funds to help cover costs as their home is in the suburbs and Brendan is in the city. This includes travel time, gas money, parking fees, metra tickets, childcare, food for the family, general bills... and the list goes on.

Any and everything will be much appreciated. For those of you closer to home and interested in helping more- we are also setting a schedule for meals, transportation, babysitting etc. as well.
