The Hannah Hauser (Bynum) Fund

This gofundme has been set up to support Hannah Bynum Hauser (23), Christian Hauser (22), and Esther Marie Hauser (5 months). Hannah and Christian have been married for a year and a half, and just had their first child, Esther Marie, in July of 2015. Christian recently graduated and is a research assistant at Rice University, in Houston.
On the 27th of December, as they were leaving a family Christmas trip to Arkansas, Hannah, Christian, and baby Esther were in a head-on collision with a pickup truck. The truck hydroplaned into them and sadly, the driver of the pickup died at the scene. Miraculously, Christian and 5 month-old Esther Marie were unharmed, but Hannah suffered significant injuries.
Her injuries include; a broken vertebrae, small intestine torn in half, multiple tears to her colon, a collapsed lung, and loss of movement and feeling in her feet and ankles. She has already been through one surgery to repair her intestine and colon. Hannah’s family is with her and she is currently in Texarkana where they do not have the appropriate training or equipment to repair or care for her spinal injuries. She has been forced to stay there in order to gain enough strength to be moved. She will be airlifted to Houston soon where she may have to undergo spinal surgery. According to the neurosurgeon, it will take six months for her to recuperate from surgery. Family members will be coming to help Hannah and take care of baby Esther, but this is a very expensive mishap to a young couple with a new baby. Pray she can be transported this weekend. The terrible storms in the area and shortage of available staff on minimum manned holiday shifts is causing issues getting a bed in Houston and the numbness has moved from her toes to ankles while she has waited.
After the airlift, the current out of pocket medical expenses will stand at $12k, and it is only expected to increase for them. Hannah will not be able to take care of her baby alone for several months and her family will need to travel back and forth from the Atlanta area to help her. We are raising money to help with Hannah’s medical expenses, and to also help with the cost of travel for her parents and other family to come help her and baby Esther. The need is great and could not be going to a more deserving family. Any amount helps, and every amount will be greatly appreciated. Please pray for Hannah and her family. Thank you so much!
