Hands-of-Kalymnos in Memory of Joy Kay

Donation protected
I am re-opening our gofundme page that was a  fundraiser in 2017 to include the opportunity to donate in the Memory of Joy Kay. With deep gratitude in 2017 we did hit our $10,000 goal and now honoring  Joys love for animals in this compassionate way. One of her favorite sayings, "Be kind, be kind, be kind.

In Memory of Joy Kay
My mom loved animals especially dogs.  She always gave money to several rescue groups on a yearly basis and supported my rescue work on the island of Kalymnos. I know it would give her great pleasure to know that she was contributing to the wellbeing, rescue and re-homing efforts in her memory to support the incredible work that the volunteers do for the animals on the island of Kalymnos.

The pups of Kalymnos, Greece,
need your help. Why Kalymnos? Plain and simple, owners are struggling financially and do not have the money to sterilize or keep their puppies. Many puppies are thrown in the trash, poisoned, drowned, or just left to die. The lucky ones find their way into the Hands of these amazing  volunteers.

Hands-of-Kalymnos has been rescuing animals on Kalymnos since 2004. While Hands-of-Kalymnos.com(choose Language on left) helps all animals, this campaign is concerned with reducing the puppy population. Our focus is on spaying and neutering as many dogs as possible, minimizing the amount of puppies that need re-homing, and stopping unwanted pregnancies so funds can be focused on the older, unwanted dogs and helping them get a chance to find new homes in Germany. Hundreds of dogs are successfully re-homed every year.

Hands-of-Kalymnos is registered as a charity group with the state, but does not receive any local or governmental funding. The folks who comprise the rescue team are volunteers, so all funds they receive go to helping the animals, food, medicine, spay and neuter, and transportation to Germany.

Help us make a huge difference in the lives of the unwanted, abused, abandoned, and stray dogs on the island of Kalymnos. No donation is too small. We so appreciate your consideration and every dollar we receive! Please feel free to take a look at our webpage at Hands-of-Kalymnos.com  and our Facebook page at Hands-of-Kalymnos
