I am organizing a 9 day trip in June 2020 to take students from Flint, MI to Costa Rica to reinforce their language education but to also help them learn about eco- tourism and hopefully help them spark the ideas that will help change their living conditions here. $50,000 would allow us to take at least 20 students from Hamady High School. I have taken students to Spain, France and Costa Rica in the past and they have always benefited from these experiences.
The cost of the trip for students is $2,118.00 and does include incidentals like passports, meals to be covered to and from the airport, snacks and water, or souvenirs of their time abroad.
Students will also be visiting a Costa Rican school where they will make donations of school supplies.
Our students and community would be very appreciative of any help you can give. The sooner that we have an estimate of how much money to expect the sooner we can sign students up and give them the time needed to purchase their passports.
