Hall Co Ne Veterans Hero Flight

Hall County is raising funds to send Vietnam Veterans on Hero Flights to DC to recognize and show our appreciation and honoring them by giving the opportunity to go to Washington, D.C., to see the monument that was built as a result of what they did in protecting our country and ensuring our freedom.

The Vietnam War officially lasted from 1964 to May 7, 1975, for the U.S. However, veterans who served in-country from Feb. 28, 1961, through the war’s official start in 1964 will also be eligible for the Hero Flights.

All veterans who served during the dates of the official Vietnam War, whether they served in-country or not, will be eligible for a Hero Flight.

Hero Flights to Washington from Hall County will become a reality with the help of generous supporters through Go Fund ME and others who have given their time and labor to make this fundraiser successful.

The Hero Flight Committee and its partners are dedicated to the effort to allow as many area veterans as possible to experience this once-in-a-lifetime trip and fellowship. As we have done for the veterans of World War II and the Korean War, the goal is to cover the full costs for airfare, lodging, food, and other amenities.
