Half Marathon For Hounds Off

On Sunday November 17th, I’m joining the St Neots Half Marathon and I’m doing this to raise money for Hounds Off. This is to support the valuable work of this purely voluntary organisation in both exposing the Quantock Staghounds for illegally hunting deer, with hounds, from August to April every hunting season, and in working with landowners to support them in dealing with regular trespass from fox, hare & stag hunts all across the UK.
Often these incidents are interlinked, as the Quantock Staghounds regularly hunt across land belonging to both the National Trust and the Forestry Commission, despite both organisations banning this particular hunt in 1997 following the publication of the Bateson Report (a study on the welfare implications of hunting deer).
