**Honoring our Vietnam Veterans**
On September 5th, 2018, the "Firehawks" of Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron EIGHT FIVE (HSC-85) will be hosting a banquet for to honor the "Seawolves" of Helicopter Attack (Light) Squadron THREE (HA(L)-3).
Navy Seawolves operated the UH-1B/C and HH-1K "Huey" helicopter in Vietnam from 1967 to 1972, performing special operations and close air support missions. Over a five year period, they performed over 155,000 missions and lost 44 in action.
HSC-85 has a direct connection to the lineage of HA(L)-3, with the "Bluehawks" of HA(L)-5 (1977-1988) and the "Firehawks" of HCS-5 (1988-2006) paving the way.
We intend to host a bar-b-que for 500+ Seawolves and guests, including food, tables, settings, and chairs. Seawolves will arrive at the banquet by bus. We DO NOT want Seawolves paying for food...so we're asking those in the HA(L)-3 lineage to help support the event! Please spread the word, and help up make this event a success!
