Haiti - Adaptive Stroller for Jhon

Donation protected
This will be the 7th year in which a team from Zionsville will make their way down to Haiti to volunteer their time. This year, the team consists of 35 high school students and 7 adult leaders. Many of the team members this year are passionate about working with individuals who have disabilities. In the particular community we travel to, there are not very many kiddos who have disabilities, in fact, at this time, there is only one that we know about…Jhon. Currently, in the area we travel to, there are no services available to provide support to those with disabilities. Jhon has never received speech, occupational therapy, physical therapy, or had access to an education. Our goal is to help equip his family with some strategies to use while working with him! The main goal is going to be giving him a way to communicate his wants and needs and make him as independent as possible! We have already had many who have graciously donated different sensory and adaptive items for us to use with him. In addition to the items we have received, another area of need for Jhon right now is an adaptive stroller. The stroller will be fitted to meet Jhon’s individual needs, however, that comes with a price. Our hope is that you will come alongside of us to help provide this stroller for Jhon! Thank you for your support, generosity, and showing of love for those with unique differences! With the funds raised, the team will purchase the stroller and take it down at the end of March!
