Adrian's Arizona Trail Adventure

Early this March I am setting off to thru hike the 800 mile Arizona Trail. This fundraiser's purpose is to raise money for my hike and to donate money to the Arizona Wilderness Coalition.
The Arizona Wilderness Coalition conducts wildland inventories and educates citizens about the unique attributes of Arizona's landscape. They also empower activists to build support for their lasting protection of wild areas. AWC completes stewardship and restoration projects in wilderness across the state, harnessing the power of some 200 volunteers and partner organizations.
Wildernesses are pristine wildlands devoid of roads and structures. They are my favorite places in nature because one can really be with nature, on nature's terms. I will be passing through many of them on my journey, such as the Superstition, Four Peaks, and Mazatzal Wilderness Areas. So I felt it fitting to raise money for an organization that does so much to maintain and protect these places.
50% of all donations will be given to the Arizona Wilderness Coalition. The other half will be gratefully used to fund my thru-hike, which I estimate will take me approximately 2 months to complete. I will be hiking Northbound from the Mexico border near Patagonia through deserts, mountains and canyons to the border of Utah. I will be passing through some of the most beautiful places in Arizona including the Grand Canyon.
The money I raise for this thru-hike will be used to purchase over a hundred pounds of food, postage for supply packages, two pairs of shoes, ten pairs of socks and a few hotel rooms.
I will be so grateful for funds to help make this dream come true and to benefit a well deserving non-profit organization that does such important work. This opportunity to have an adventure of a lifetime means so much to me. These are the kinds of experiences that feed my soul and rejuvenate me so I can continue to do the work I do.
