Achill Pipe Band Fundraising Drive

Achill Pipe Band is located on Achill Island off the west coast of Mayo, Ireland and was established to compete at national and international competitions. The band set up an education programme teaching piping and drumming locally in 2013 and students have been joining the band in recent years.
The band has a strong youth emphasis/membership and now need to equip and uniform the new members coming through. The immediate need is the purchase of drums and uniforms (a single kilt costs c.€300 and a drum c.€400/€450). Once purchased these items are then available to members for years to come, with the potential to benefit many.
Members dig deep in their own pockets funding travel costs, accommodation costs, certain uniform items (shoes, socks, capes etc) and each piper has purchased their own bagpipes personally. We try to subsidise costs where possible and depend greatly on the generosity of the local and wider community.
This is our first time trying this and your support, however big or small, will help us invest in the youth, teaching them skills that will stand to them for the rest of their lives.
