Studying Abroad in Ghana

Hello all, my name is Sage Golisano, I am a rising senior at SUNY Fredonia. I just wanted to thank you for opening this up to look at my gofundme. I have been fortunate enough to be accepted to the University of Ghana for the upcoming fall semester. My major is Public Relations and my minor is Multi-Ethnic studies. This study abroad experience will not only count as credits toward my degree but it will also fulfill the rest of the requirements for my minor.

I have learned that everyone has a different perspective because their experiences have affected them in ways different than their own, so we should all try to understand where they are coming from. That is why understanding other cultures are so important. I hope to be able to use this experience understanding another culture for the rest of my life to encourage other students to study abroad and see diverse perspectives. Education and experience go hand in hand. If beliefs, values, and habits are the foundation of a culture, it would be to my advantage to immerse myself fully to gain a deeper understanding of others mortal being. This program will give me the opportunity of a lifetime that could dramatically shape both my personal and professional career aspirations.

The main reason I am going to Ghana is  to put myself in a new situation that is nothing like what I know here in the United States. This is a once in a lifetime experience, but I need some help making my dreams come true. It is very expensive for tuition, airfare and the vaccinations required. I would appreciate if you donated to me gaining this experience.
