Help LK Live out his Bucket list

Thursday November 6th 2014, Dad Larry (LK) Kirk was diagnosed with Stage four advanced lung cancer that has unfortunately spread to his C-7 vertebrae. Dad now has Lung and Bone cancer. The lung cancer went from stage one and completely skipped the lymphnoeds (stage 2) and the thoractic cavity (stage three) and went directly into is spine (stage four). The outlook of this diagnosis is not good. There is no chance to ‘cure’ his cancer and he is now on borrowed time. Dad will undergo three to five radiation therapies to ‘destroy’ the cancer cells DNA so they can no longer duplicate and attempt to shrink the tumor that is currently compressing on his spine which will hopefully decrease the level of pain that he is constantly in. Right now all the Oncologists are saying is to double up on the morphine and live each day the best he can. Even though he is in agenizing pain 24/7,He and I both would rather he be in pain and be someplace he wants to be attempting to have fun rather than sitting at home in his recliner watching daytime TV. I’m sure everyone has a bucket list, but not everyone is given the terrible news that they may or may not even make it to next Christmas, So LK has come up with a few things he would really like to do before he goes, The big two so far are to be in Amsterdam for the high Times Cannabis Cup one last time. those of you that know LK threw his involvement in the attempt to legalize Marijuana know how important this is to him and how much LK has given to this cause and are probably just as grateful as I am that he got to see it legalized here in Oregon before he died. The other is to visit the pyramids by Mexico City. We are currently about $2,700 short of making sure he is able to do both. What would you do if you were told to live like you were dying? Please help my family give my dad the best year of his life and allow him to go and be free and get his mind off of the awful news we all received.
