Hey everyone. This is Miss Haylea. Haylea was hospitalized in Augusta June 12th for a mis diagnosis of a sinus infection. The mis diagnosis caused her sinus cavity to collapse and she acquired a cyst on her forehead called a Pot's Puffy Tumor. This tumor ate through her skull and its protective sac fused to the membrane that protects her brain from infection. She was then hospitalized in Portland on August 10th in Portland and hooked up with a pic line that delivered 4 dosed of antibiotics over a 12 hour period of time. She is the strongest Avatar that I know and persevered even with this pic line being attached to her at home and needing to carry around a auto pump of medicine all the time. She recently had a blood draw to monitor progress and her white blood cell count has dropped dangerously low, and she was hospitalized in Portland once again last night. We are reaching out for help because even though Jenn has insurance, the 20% that she is required to cover was over 4000.00 just for the stay in Augusta. We haven't even gotten the bills for Portland yet. Jenn has spent every moment with her daughter and is missing quite a bit of work which does not have a plan to help with any type of paid leave while she deals with this chaos. Both of them are the kind of people who would help anyone else when needed, and right now they need a little of that help back. We need to share some love ladies and gentleman.
