Mom is terminal, brain cancer read story

Hello, I never thought I would be in a position to ask for money, I’m usually the giver.  But here I go.

Anyone who knows my mom Millie Garnier, will find this news shocking, because although she is 86, she has always been a shining star, and a vibrant go getter and just weeks ago, she was her normal self-doing what she loved best running around shopping and socializing in the grocery stores. 
She started having falls, and with in a week, the paramedics had been to the house 4 times to help get her to her feet.  On her 4th fall she was take to the hospital where they determined that her right knee was bad, and this was the culprit of the falls.  She was sent for therapy and thanks to my sister being able to get her in sooner than later, there is a 5 month waiting list.  The Dr. There seen her condition and immediately sent her to hospital for a cat scan.
I’ve just received the devastating news from home, that my mom has brain cancer.   They have discovered 3 lesions on the left side of her brain.  Of course being 2000 miles from home makes hearing this news overwhelming, with the feelings of complete helplessness. My heart is breaking, I feel totally lost and in complete shock.   We don’t know a prognoses, or if there is any treatment options yet but either way I see a trip home in my future.  A trip that we can’t afford, plus to top it off for the time that I will gone it will mean giving up my job.  Of course for all you who know where  live this is also coinciding with my husband Gary soon going to be off work for a couple of months due to the off season.  I can't rack my brain around this and how I am going to make this all work.  To be here is not really an option, but how to afford to get there while taking care of bills/mortgage here.

Then there is the stress that my poor sister is dealing with, she couldn't even afford to take today off to be there for my mom's further testing.    My sister has been shouldering all this in the last few weeks, as we have been on quest to discover what has been wrong with my mom.  She has been my mom's caretaker through all this dealing and coping with the unsurmountable stress from the situation seeing my mom decline so fast, and on top of that to be faced with major a financial burden from loss of work.  This is not good for her health since she was recently diagnosed with a defect in her heart.

I need to help in whatever way I can, whether in person, or in being able to lift the financial burden from my sister, but I would hope to help with both.
