Hi, my name is Esther Trneny, and I started this gofundme campaign for my friend Dana Cross.
Dana has two beautiful kids - Maggie, who is one of my daughter's best friends, and Jacob, who goes to school with my other daughter.
Even though Dana and her ex-husband, Rick DeRoches, divorced a year ago, Rick remained a great dad, and provided financially for their children.
Tragically, Rick died suddenly on Sunday morning, July 31st.
Dana is caring for their grief-stricken kids, while worrying about what the future is going to hold for them. Although she works full time, Rick's child-support payments helped pay for many of the necessities for their children.
I'm hoping to raise enough money to give Dana and the kids the breathing space they need to grieve Rick's death, without the stress of wondering how the bills are going to be paid.
Please contribute as much as you are able - Dana is a terrific mom, who has always volunteered in our kids' schools, and treated others with kindness and compassion. I hope we can all help her in this time of need.
