Running for my life

Just over 2 years ago I had open heart surgery to replace two valves in my heart. Fair to say it was a massive hurdle for myself and the family to overcome but we got through it and came out the other side with a different perspective on life.

I decided after rehab one day that I needed a goal. Footy was no longer an option and a marathon was always on the bucket list so I thought why not.... My brothers and I used to do a yearly challenge together so this sounded  great way to get back into shape and tick off some more boxes on the road to recovery.

The plan is to donate 100% of funds raised to a few different organisations that are close to my heart (literally).
The amazing crew in the Cardiothoracic Care Team at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital for being absolute legends and giving me another chance to live.
Beyond Blue is also very important to me. As you can imagine mentally it has been a challenge which I am up for, but there are many men out there that need support on their journey through life and these guys are doing epic things to help out our fellow brothers.
