Adam, Rouven and I will participate in the Mack Cycle Triathlon on December 1st.
We're swimming/running/cycling in support of Global Spine Outreach , a non-profit that provides life-saving surgery and scoliosis treatment to children living in underserved regions around the world.
Scoliosis is a spinal deformity affecting nearly 200 million people across the world. Affected patients experience abnormal curvature of the spine which can lead to chronic pain, difficulties with breathing, paralysis, and a shortened lifespan when left untreated.
Global Spine Outreach believes that no child should have to suffer from scoliosis or other severe spine deformities just because of where they live!
Since 2013, GSO performed 172 surgeries completely free of charge to their young patients and their families.
We are amazed and inspired by the devotion of the world-class surgeons involved with Global Spine Outreach and the transformative affect the organization has on the lives of hundreds of children.
Our goal is to raise $3,000 in the next 3 weeks leading up to the race.
