We strive provide a safe and nonjudgmental environment in which qualifying families and individuals can eat, shower, and receive donated clothing and other services and those with disposible income who want stylish bargains can shop for quality clothing and/or donate money, clothing, diapers, and resources with confidence that it’s going to not only clean up the appearance of the inevitable and growing homeless population, but also take steps to offer employment and relocation resources to those who have not sought homelessness as a permanent way of life in order to help keep the homeless population minimal.
This is the first leg of donations. I am in the process of writing a business plan. Anybody who would like to see updates on a business plan is welcome to request it, and I will be happy to share it as it's being constructed. If you request a copy, I will email You a current copy, and I will email You a fresh copy each time I update it.
This 'leg' will be used to hire an attorney, achieve all necessary legal steps to be recognized as a legal and reputable non-profit organization, secure a building, get insured, and fund the process of hiring a team of qualified professionals.
We can make a difference. I'm not playing, and I am willing to be as transparent as possible the entire time. I have accounts on Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Digg, StumpleUpon, Constant Content, and other sites. I have a five star rating on UpWork and Freelancer. I, personally have a web presence all over the place. Search Michael Westbrook. I can't really hide. I make myself known on Facebook. Everybody knows my mission.
I started it in MO with people close to me. I had to move to where I could make more of a difference. I'm ready to start giving my time and resources to help as many people as possible. Please help me in my mission to end the stigma against homelessness. Help us give them a place to come in the middle of the night to relax and clean up so they can increase their odds of functioning well in society.
I am opening a two-fold nonprofit organization. The first is a location at which homeless families can take showers and have access to emergency diapers for babies. The location will also host a clothing store at which each article will be sold for only $2 a piece. All donated articles of clothing would be given away to qualifying families and individuals for free, and each article sold for $2 would be purchased for $1 by others in need of money. The second-tier of this business will be to reinvest all the funds into hiring individuals across the United States online for a list of for-profit companies who reach out to our organization for employees Nationwide.
We CAN change the world. We CAN live together in harmony. We CAN give freely of ourselves. The more we have, the more we have to share.
