Where to start?
They say close only counts in horse shoe's and hand grenades...That is the truth. Steve and I came so close to being signed many years ago then lost touch and now we are making one more go of it and we need some help.
Let's start the journey in 2014.
A Face book inquiry by Steve to my son Matt asking if John was his Dad. Follow that up with a phone call and a catch up period and the talk of us "jamming" again. A move by Steve back to the Houston area to marry his high school sweetheart and John buying a Tascam 2488 to start recording. So with just the 2 of us we started what we talked about 30 years ago.
2015 was an eye opening year. We won the Akademia instrumental award for May 2015. Got internet radio going and started to do interviews. As we worked on more songs we setup Twitter, Face Book, Sound Cloud and Reverbnation websites. Social media something very new to guys in there 50's.
Knowing that there is no way any record label would sign us we decided to take things into our own hands. The release of "Groovey" has been 30 years in the making. Plus we learned a whole lot about recording and producing in 2016 compared to 1984.
We are looking for help in marketing our album. We have also learned that there is many companies out there that claim they will help you and want your money. We learned the hard way......
