Help Greybots get to Championship

On April 22, 2017, the Atascadero Greybots robotics team won the FIRST Houston Championship.  This event featured 400 robots from all over the United States and 32 other countries.  The FIRST organization has expanded to two Championships this year, the other competition was held in St. Louis, MO.  There will be a play- off between the Eastern and Western Champions in Manchester, NH; the Festival of Champions will be held on July 28th and 29th.  In order for Greybots to compete, the team wants to send  8 - 10 members.   Due to the expense of taking 19 students to the Houston Championship (at a cost of $25,000); there are no team funds available to even send those necessary to compete.  The San Luis Obispo County community can support this team which brought a Championship back to Atascadero for the second time (one of only 9 teams to hold this distinction) by funding travel expenses to New Hampshire.  The Greybots would like the opportunity to compete against the alliance that won the St. Louis Championship for the proud title of FIRST World Champions.  We need your help to make this happen,  Please watch the video for exciting competition play, we are on the blue alliance, Team 973
