Over the years, people float in and out of our lives and we enjoy the moments that we share with them. Occasionally, we are touched by a person whose light shines just a little brighter, whose smile is just a little broader, and whose compassion is just a little deeper. That person is Greg Garnand – a man who has touched so many of our lives in such a short period of time with his love and kindness, compassion and dedication.
Greg is one of the kindest, happiest, and most genuine people you'll ever meet. He’s one of those guys that makes you just feel better when he's around...regardless of what you're doing. From his listening ear, friendly smile and his light hearted sense of humor, he’s constantly contributing warmth to other people’s lives. Anyone who meets him wants to be a little more like him.
His journey as a paramedic and firefighter led him to iRhythm, where he became part of our family. He has served the community as a paramedic, firefighter, and educator.
At the young age of 26, Greg has been diagnosed with Stage 2 Ewing's Sarcoma, a rare cancer found within bone or soft tissue requiring treatment.
Please consider being part of the campaign of family, friends, colleagues, and good Samaritans who are rallying around him in support. If you know Greg, you know he is absolutely not the type to accept help, but this is a unique situation. Cancer treatment is a long and expensive process for anyone.
