Greg Seeber's Fight Against Pancreatic Cancer

The Backstory
In early February, our dad Greg wasn't feeling well and became jaundice. Through bloodwork, doctors found his liver levels were extremely high. His doctor ordered an abdominal ultrasound, and later that evening we received a dreaded call from an oncologist, which put fear & emotions within all of us. We met with the oncologist the next morning and received news that he had Obstructive Jaundice which was caused by a large mass blocking his bile duct, causing bile to go into his bloodstream. With an endoscopy ultrasound, the doctor took a biopsy of the mass and placed a stent to open up his bile duct. Later that week, results of the biopsy showed that the mass was Pancreatic Cancer. More tests needed to be completed, including a brain scan and CT scan, which showed lesions on his liver, indicating that the cancer has spread.

Pancreatic Cancer
With the unfortunate diagnosis of Stage IV Metastatic Pancreatic Adenocarcinoma, Greg's oncologist quickly began creating his treatment regimen, which includes chemotherapy two times every two weeks. He also has a port which will continuously provide the chemotherapy for when he is not in the clinic. This type of cancer is extremely rare, with fewer than 200,000 cases diagnosed per year. pancreatic cancer typically spreads rapidly to nearby organs and is seldom detected in its early stages. Research on pancreatic cancer is limited, and is unfortunately not curable.

Greg the Fighter
Despite this news, Greg has remained positive and is ready to put up a tough fight to cancer, for the third time. He wants to continue his life as he normally would and in typical Greg selfless fashion, does not want anyone to worry about him & is still thinking about everyone but himself. He is not letting this bring him down, and has bravely said, "You deal with the cards that you're dealt". With great love from his grandkids, daughters, sons-in-law, and loving wife, he continues to smile and fight tirelessly & courageously every day.

How You Can Help
So many people deeply love Greg and have been asking ways they can help. We all know cancer is emotionally, physically, and financially trying. One way you can help is by donating to relieve some financial stress that has arisen from this diagnosis, specifically for his treatment. Any donation, even small, will be greatly appreciated. If you are unable to donate, you can help by sharing this page, spreading awareness about pancreatic cancer, and keeping Greg in your thoughts & prayers.

With Gratitude,
We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for supporting Greg and our family, and for fighting this fight with him.
