Fight Juneau's drug epidemic!

People in Juneau are struggling with substance abuse and dying of drug overdose at an increasingly rapid rate. The governor has declared Alaska in a state of emergency due to an opiate epidemic, and our streets are overrun with a demographic struggling with alcoholism and other substance use. We need to promote solutions that work to help save our loved ones and community members struggling to obtain sobriety.

Everyone knows someone who is currently or has previously struggled with addiction. It can be a hopeless feeling to watch friends, family, and community members in a downward spiral of destruction. That’s why it’s important to take action. You can help by becoming an ally to those that need a second chance and donating to Great Bear Recovery Collective.

A strong community of sober support has been proven to be one of the most effective tools in maintaining abstinence from drugs and alcohol. At Great Bear Recovery, we help to build this network of individuals in recovery by providing peer support services and organizing community sober activities. All of the money that we collect through donations will go toward providing Recovery Coaching, funding Recovery Events, and Activities, and obtaining a Recovery Community Center.
